Say NO to discrimination

The Faith, Family, Fairness Alliance supports the OutFront Minnesota/TogetherMinnesota! Resolution against the constitutional amendment to ban marriage, civil unions and/or other legal protections for same-sex couples.

The Resolution simply states:

We oppose any amendment to the Minnesota Constitution that prohibits marriage, civil unions and/or legal protections for same-sex couples.

Several Minnesota faith communities have already passed resolutions with the above text. We encourage all congregations, houses of worship, faith communities, their boards and/or social justice groups to consider adopting this resolution at their earliest ability. Taking this step says your community does not want discrimination encoded in our State's constitution!

Resolution Instructions:

Download and open the resolution in Microsoft Word, by clicking here.

    For Organizational Resolution signing:

1. Email or call Becky Smith at OutFront MN informing her of your intentions. Include your name Phone # and the name of the organization you will be approaching. bsmith@outfront.org or 612-822-0127/800-800-0350 ext. 103
2. Copy off the form and discuss it with your organization or its authorized leadership and if approved, have the proper leaders sign the resolution. Please also include a copy of the resolution language on your organization's letterhead.
3. Copy the signed document to keep on file and return the original to OutFront MN address listed on the document. Attn. Becky Smith.
4. If a religious organization has signed the resolution please also notify Faith Family Fairness Alliance. We will post your organization information on our list of participating groups. E-mail Organization Name, Contact person and full address, phone number and email address to faithfamilyfairness@yahoo.com.

    For Individual Resolution signing:

If you are interested in signing the form:
1. Print out the form, sign it, and send it to OutFront MN at the address listed on the document, Attn: Becky Smith

If you are interested in getting someone else to sign the form:
1. Copy off the form and discuss it with the person you want to sign the form.
2. Copy the signed document to keep on file and return the original to OutFront MN at the address listed on the document, Attn: Becky Smith
3. If a Religious leader has signed the resolution please also notify Faith Family Fairness Alliance. We will post the name and information on our list of participating religious leader. E-mail Name and full address, phone number and email address to faithfamilyfairness@yahoo.com.
